This year, European tourists will get familiarized with the mountain trails around Goris, the President of the Armenian Guides' Guild, Lia Bakhshinyan, said.
"We primarily organize hiking toward Aragats, this is a very popular route. But now we are going to acquaint hiking lovers with Goris," NEWS.am cited her as saying.
European tourists are less interested in the pristine mountain trails than in the traditional tours in Armenia, so there fewer professional hiking tour guides in the country.
"The necessary education is expensive, therefore new donor projects would help us a lot. This is a separate profession, you need to study it for more than one year," the President of the Armenian Guides' Guild explained.
