Explosion reported near mosque in Bursa, Turkey

A suspected suicide bomber detonated an explosive Wednesday evening near Ulu Mosque in the northwestern Turkish city of Bursa, according to the Bursa Governorship, CNN reports.

Initial indications were that seven people were injured, according to the governorship. The semiofficial Anadolu news agency, however, reported one person had died and six were injured.

The governorship said the attacker was believed to be female.
