FIG World Cup in Baku: Russia wins gold and silver, Azerbaijan takes third place

All gold and silver of the FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics took in individual program went to Russia: most of the awards, just like yesterday, were once again won by Russians Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun.

This time, they were so equal judges were unable to determine who performed better in exercises with ribbon and clubs, so they had to award them with the same number of points - 19.4. 

Yana Kudryavtseva did not participate in exercises with the ball, so Margarita Mamun took the first place with the same score - 19.4. The only competition where they managed to find out who is better were exercises with hoop: Kudryavtseva received 19.4 points, Mamun - 18.55.

Azerbaijani gymnast Marina Durunda, who will represent Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games in Rio, won the bronze medal in exercises with ribbon, receiving 18.5 points. 

Other medalists in the individual finals: Russian Alexandra Soldatova - silver in exercises with ball, French Kseniya Mustafayeva - bronze in exercises with hoop and clubs, Israeli Neta Rivkin - bronze in exercises with ball. 

The FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics ends today. The final 10th FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku is attended by 26 famous athletes and 9 teams from 17 countries.
