Former Turkish basketball player Hidayet Turkoglu has been officially appointed the chief adviser to the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Trend reports with reference to the Anadolu agency.
37-year-old Turkoglu played in the NBA for 15 years, in 2008 he was recognized as the most promising player in the association.
In November 2015 Turkoglu announced his retirement from the NBA.
