Farid Gayibov has been appointed the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan by a decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Prior to his appointment, Gaibov was the secretary general of the National Gymnastics Federation.
Gaibov has also been the vice-president of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) since 2018.
