The 9th Conference of the Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport is being held at the headquarters of UNESCO on October 25-26. Azerbaijan is represented at the conference by Farid Gayibov, a delegation led by Minister of Youth and Sports.
According to the agenda of the conference, elections were held for the Bureau of the Convention and Minister Farid Gayibov was unanimously elected as the deputy chairman of the Bureau.
At the conference, the fact that Azerbaijan hosted the VII International Conference of Ministers and High-ranking Persons on Physical Education and Sports in June of the current year, its active participation in many UNESCO projects and its contribution to the organization in general were highly appreciated by both the member states and the organization as a whole.
