Azerbaijan opened for all global leaders to come, former Libyan Ambassador to the European Union, one of the most influential Libyan women, Farida Allaghi, said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza, commenting on the the Global Young Leaders Forum in Baku.
"It's good that Azerbaijan opened itself for all these global leaders to come. We have always met in New York, different countries of Europe, so we're happy that now Azerbaijan is taking these steps. Personally, I have been very happy to meet young Azerbaijani women and men. I hope that more Azerbaijani women and men will contribute to these meetings, because it is very important for us to get to know them closer," she stressed.
"I met several Azerbaijani women and I've been very impressed with them, so I hope that in the future there will be more participation of women and young leaders of Azerbaijan," she said.
She pointed out growing popularity of Azerbaijan among citizens of the Arab states. "I was pleasantly surprised by a large number of Arab tourists in Azerbaijan - the situation was different a couple of years ago. Visitors from Arab countries are buying up real estate in Azerbaijan, since the republic is attracts them with its hospitality, beautiful climate and nature," she noted.
Farida Allagi also stressed the need for a deep study of the works of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi. "I believe that Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi is a great figure in the world literature. I believe that we need to study his works in more detail in the East," she concluded.
