The fire at the Electrotsink metallurgy plant in Russia's Vladikavkaz was localized, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's press service said.
"The fire on the territory of the Electrotsink plant was localized at 13:10 at 4,500 square meters," the press service said.
The emergencies service also reported that 60 people were fighting fire and that 20 units of firefighting equipment were involved, RIA Novosti reported.
The fire at the Electrotsink plant broke out at 03:16 am today. One firefighter died and two more were injured in the fire.
