About 500 people and 120 units of machinery are involved in extinguishing a large fire at the Bayanaul national park, Kazakhstan's emergency situations committee reported.
According to the administration of the Pavlodar region, the fire causes no threat to the settlements.
The fire occupies 93 hectares. One helicopter is mobilized in fire fighting, AKIpress reported.
The committee added that the situation is under control. No victims and wounded in the fire were reported.
The Bayanaul national park is located in the south of Pavlodar region, 100 km from Eskibastuz city. The total area of the park is 68,453 hectares.
