A fire broke out in one of the buildings in the form of a book at Moscow's New Arbat Avenue.
The fire occurred on the seventh floor at a 27-story building (New Arbat Avenue, 17). Reports about the fire were received at 10.35 am, the press service of the EMERCOM of Russia said.
The press service noted that they found out that the building is under reconstruction, adding that the fire covered about 200 square meters.
The seventh floor where the fire started was used as a storage space for construction materials, TASS reported. Photos and videos of the fire show plumes of black smoke coming from inside.
10 fire and rescue units are now working on the site.
The blaze has been successfully extinguished by fire brigades at 11:59am, the Emergencies Ministry said, adding that there are no injured. About 26 workers ere evacuated.
