Fire in Turkish hotel: six people hospitalized

According to the Turizm Ajansi, several tourists were injured at a five-star hotel in Afyonkarahisar, which is near Izmir in Türkiye.

It has been clarified that 6 people were injured as a result of the roof fire. All of them were taken to the hospital with signs of poisoning from combustion products.

The fire occurred early in the morning, and most of the visitors did not notice it. At the same time, eyewitnesses said that they woke up from the acrid smell of smoke and saw how the roof of the building was engulfed in flames.

According to reports, tourists staying at the hotel were quickly evacuated.

Fire brigades arrived at the scene within a few minutes and began extinguishing the fire. By that time, the fire had engulfed most of the roof.

Only after two hours did firefighters manage to put out the flames.

The reasons for the incident remain to be determined by specialists.
