The Tbilisi City Court has decided on a preventive measure for former head of the Georgian Defense Ministry Juansher Burchuladze. The former politician has been placed under arrest, Georgian media reports.
The decision was made and announced by Judge Ekaterina Barbakadze. Thus, she satisfied the prosecutor's demand for Burchuladze's arrest. The defense proposed to release the former minister on bail, the amount of which could have been 100,000 lari (over $ 37,000).
