First Japanese garden opens in Tbilisi

The spirit of Japan can now be felt in Georgia after the first Japanese garden has opened in capital Tbilisi today, Agenda.ge writes.

The new garden served as a symbol of good relations between Georgia and Japan, Georgia’s Foreign Ministry said.

The garden was opened in the National Botanical Garden of Georgia, and featured traditional Japanese greenery and cherry blossoms.

The opening ceremony was attended by Tbilisi mayor, Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia, Japanese Ambassador to Georgia and other officials.
