First freight train launched on new route of Middle Corridor

The first freight train launched on the new route through the Middle Corridor to Türkiye, the press service of Azerbaijan Railways writes.

The train departed from the Chinese city of Nanjing and will reach Istanbul along the route Central Asia-Caspian Sea-Azerbaijan-Georgia.

It is noted that the transport, consisting of 110 containers, delivered household appliances and daily necessities to Türkiye.

Azerbaijan Railways added that cargo transportation between China and Europe is now carried out in several directions, passing through Central Asia, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Black Sea.
