The construction of the first military pier at Aktau International Commercial Sea Port will be completed in autumn. Official facility commissioning is expected in October this year, BNews.kz reports.
The construction of the pier began in February. Now, the work on the hydraulic structure is in full swing. It will be the the first military pier in the history of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
Currently Kazakhstan warships deployed in a rented pier in Bautino at a distance of 140 kilometers from the naval base that creates certain inconveniences for the servicemen residing in Aktau, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported.
