Today the first postcard issued by the Russia Post Office to mark the 2000th anniversary of Derbent has been officially sent.
The card was sent at a ceremony held in one of the post offices in the hero-city of the day by the Minister for the North Caucasus, Lev Kuznetsov, and the Head of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) in the North Caucasus Federal District, Anvar Hajiyev, TASS reports.
The anniversary postcard with a picture of the Naryn-Kala fortress in Derbent was published with a circulation of 2 thousand copies. Each interested party in the celebrations can get it for free and send it anywhere in Russia.
