The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ilkhom Makhkamov, spoke about the conditions and date on which the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will begin. This became known from the minister's interview with Uzbekistan 24.
According to Makhkamov, cooperation will take place on concession terms, that is, in the format of a public-private partnership. The minister also added that work would begin in the fall.
"In October of this year, in the fall, the first stone (of the railway – ed.) will be laid, and we will continue to work on the project to begin construction",
Ilkhom Makhkamov said.
Together with the railway, it is planned to create a network of warehouses and terminals, as well as transit and logistics infrastructure, on the territory of partner countries.
