First teams of recruits from south of Russia were called up for service during the autumn draft, the press service of the Southern Military District said.
The press service added that their number will reach 3.5 thousand men by the end of the month.
In total, more than 22,000 conscripts from Crimea, North Ossetia, Chechnya and Karachaevo-Cherkessia will be called up for service during the autumn-winter draft, TASS reported.
