Vice-Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Efim Fix reminded that Russia and Ukraine are united by a centuries-old common history, joint struggle against enemies, common culture and close family ties. His comments came after Vladimir Zelensky, who won the presidential election in Ukraine, announced that the two countries are united only by a common border.
"He (Vladimir Zelensky) is too young and works as president not too much time to make such statements. We are united by a long history, joint struggle against enemies who attacked the Soviet Union, joint victory in World War II, common history, culture and close family ties,” the Crimean parliamentarian said.
