Today, in two hours, starting from 15:00 (14:00 Moscow time), more than 10 villages were affected by floods and mudslides after heavy rains with a strong wind.
As a result, more than 200 cellars and residential yards were flooded in the villages of Kurdmashy, Gushendzhe, Garakollug, Balik, Enishdibi, Talysh, Yenikend, Shyukyurchyu and Ashigbairamli. About 10 old buildings were destroyed and a gas pipeline line was damaged. Mudslides destroyed orchards, wheat and grape fields, and killed the livestock.
The recently opened highway Garamaryam-Ismayilli was also partly destroyed. Several settlements were cut off from the outside world due to the destruction of several bridges. Strong winds and fallen trees damaged power lines.
