Kazakhstan has carried out large-scale preparations for the early elections of deputies of the Majilis – the lower house of parliament, the deputy chairman of the Kazakh Central Electoral Commission Vladimir Foos said.
He pointed out that one of the main factors that contributed to the success of the preliminary work was the experience of "a coordinated team, not only in the CEC, but also in the regions, in the districts and precinct electoral commissions."
"We conducted a large-scale information campaign, in which we explained all the necessary moments to the electorate: from checking themselves on the registration lists, to obtaining absentee ballots during the elections," TASS quoted him as saying.
