The foreign minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, and the foreign minister of Turkey, Feridun Sinirlioglu, have held discussions on a number of important regional issues.
"We also discussed the Syrian refugee problem. Azerbaijan also has faced a similar situation in the near past. Up to 2 million refugees have settled in Turkey. This problem should be resolved soon so that those people could go back to their native lands," APA cited him as saying.
Mammadyarov said that Turkey will complete the works on the construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) early next year, stressing its importance not only for the South Caucasus but also for Central Asia.
