Today the head of physical training of the Russian army, Colonel Oleg Botsman, announced the new competition 'Elbrus Ring' in the context of the International Army Games. Teams from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China, India, Italy and Serbia were invited.
The 'Elbrus Ring' is to be held at a center, based on the Elbrus mountain training and survival center near the Kabardino-Balkarian settlement of Terskol.
"The competition program includes competitions among departments of individual climbing on bundles over rocks, a five-day march with weapons, communications and climbing equipment around Elbrus, as well as climbing to the top of it,’’ RIA Novosti reports.
