This morning firefighters managed to localize and fully extinguish a fire raging in a forest near Gelendzhik covering an area of 1.8 hectares. The fire started yesterday evening near the hamlet of Betta, the firefighters were fighting with it during the whole night.
"178 people and 43 vehicles were involved in extinguishing the fire. There were no casualties," a message on the Kuban EMERCOM site reads.
The causes of the fire have not been established yet.
