Ex-Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has been sentenced to 40 years of imprisonment for genocide and war crimes during the Bosnian war in 1992 – 1995. This decision was made by the international tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al-Hussein, the verdict on Karadzic is a warning to all European leaders who are prone to nationalism, BBC reports.
