The Investigative Committee of Russia in Dagestan has opened a criminal case into abuse of power in relation to the acting Rector of the Dagestan Pedagogical University, the former head of the government of the republic Magomed Abdullayev, the investigative department of the TFR for Dagestan reports today.
The former prime minister is accused of abuse of power. He is suspected of signing documents that allowed a group of employees of the university to steal about 20 million rubles, which had been allocated for the payment of social grants to the students of the university. The case was initiated according to Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code, Interfax-South reports.
