The former CEO of the International Olympic Committee, Swiss national Francois Karrar, who worked in this post from 1989 to 2003, has become the head of the Independent Working Group on reform of the International Football Federation (FIFA).
Karrar was appointed after a consultation with the six football confederations. Each of them nominated two representatives to the committee on reforms. Within six months, the group will develop a package of reforms, which are to be proposed to the Extraordinary FIFA Congress on the 26th of February in 2016. The Committee will report to the FIFA Executive Committee meeting on 24-25th of September, RIA Novosti reports.
