A delegation of French lawmakers, headed by Thierry Mariani, arrived in Moscow in the evening.
"All ten members of the delegation arrived in Moscow," TASS cited the head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, as saying.
"French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius made a desperate attempt to convince our colleagues not to go, but it did not help," the Russian parliamentarian noted.
Today they will meet with the State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin, and will leave for Crimea, where they will visit Yalta and Sevastopol.
