Full-cycle pharmaceutical plant to be established in Kazakhstan

A large-scale medicine production facility will be built in Kazakhstan, as announced by the government's press service.

The plant will be constructed within the "Alatau" special economic zone. Investment will exceed 103 billion tenge ($203.7 million). The enterprise will create more than 180 permanent jobs.

"The facility is planned to be equipped with advanced technologies for the production of medicines. The key objective is to establish production capacity for 58 different drug types," the Government of Kazakhstan said.

The plant will produce 27 international drugs, including medications for oncological, autoimmune, rare, and inflammatory diseases.

The products will be supplied to countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), as well as to the Middle East.
