An agreement on the establishment of friendly relations between the Azerbaijani town of Gabala and the South Korean city of Gyeongju has been signed during a visit to Gyeongju by the chief executive of the Gabala region, Sabuhi Abdullayev. He signed the agreement with the Mayor of Gyeongju, Choi Young-shik, providing for exchanges of delegations of science, culture, business, youth and sports figures.
