Garibashvili demands justice from EU

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that Georgia demands a decision from the European Union based on its merits.

"We do not demand anything undeserved. We demand a decision based on our merits. We demand a fair attitude, an expression of respect. Therefore, there will be a meeting of the European Commission on June 17 and a final decision will be made on June 22-23. And I urge to wait for it,” Sputnik Georgia quotes him as saying.

According to Garibashvili, if the decision of the European Union is unfair and "insulting for our people", the Cabinet of Ministers will make a special statement. At the same time, he reminded that Georgia has done a lot to obtain the status of a candidate, but the reforms have not yet been completed.
