Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has said in his speech at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York that the country intends to build an extremely pragmatic policy in the normalization of relations with Russia.
"Georgia will continue a constructive and pragmatic policy of normalizing relations with Russia," Garibashvili said, adding that "the normalization of relations with Russia cannot happen to the prejudice of the territorial integrity of Georgia."
According to Tass, the Georgian Prime Minister told the UN that Georgia had already taken "some constructive and concrete steps where possible in order to move forward in relations with Russia in the following spheres: trade, transportation and humanitarian relations."
