Irakli Garibashvili, who resigned from the post of Prime Minister of Georgia, will leave the post of the chairman of the Georgian Dream party in the near future, Georgian media report.
The former prime minister won't be named the number one candidate in the electoral list of the Georgian Dream in the upcoming parliamentary elections in October 2016, Interfax reports.
Garibashvili announced his decision to resign on December 23 but did not mention the reason.
