Gas stations resume work in Kazakhstan

"Due to the stabilization of the situation, the authorities of Kazakhstan are resuming the gas station networks' work", the Ministry of Energy of the republic said.

"The operation of gas station networks is being resumed in the regions and cities of Kazakhstan with a stable situation", the ministry said in a statement, RIA Novosti reports.

Fuel supplies, including liquefied gas, have been stabilized, the refineries are operating normally.

Let us remind you that mass protests in Kazakhstan began in the first days of 2022 - residents of the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in the west of the country opposed a twofold increase in prices for liquefied gas. Later, the protests spread to other cities, including Almaty. In response, the authorities declared a state of emergency across the country until January 19 and launched a counter-terrorism operation.
