Gas supply in almost all parts of Tbilisi has been restored, according to Kaztransgaz-Tbilisi, Interfax reports.
Mudslides in Tbilisi broke a 100-meter section of a 500-mm gas pipeline in the valley of River Vere, a 200-mm line of the pipeline and damaged 150-mm and 300-mm pipelines on the Square of Heroes, leaving thousands of people without gas supply. Another pipeline near the Tbilisi Zoo was broken soon after.
Pipelines in Akhaldaba (Tbilisi outskirts) will have been fixed by Tuesday morning, according to Kaztransgaz-Tbilisi.
