PJSC Gazprom has submitted an application to Rospatent for the registration of the "Gazprom Pay" brand.
The trademark is being registered under the class of the international classification of goods and services (ICGS) No. 9, 36 and 42. Under the Gazprom Pay brand, it will be possible to provide banking services and conduct financial transactions, provide authentication services using single sign-on technology, and perform electronic payment services from mobile devices and virtual currency exchange operations, the document reads.
Earlier it was reported that the PayPal Holdings Inc payment company stopped working in Russia, the Apple Pay payment system was suspended, and the Google Pay system does not work for clients of banks that are in the sanctions list.
