Gazprom buys 50% stake in North Stream-2

Gazprom has acquired 50% of the operator of the Nord Stream - 2, the Nord Stream 2 AG company, according to the Russian company's documents.

The transaction was completed on December 6.

Nord Stream 2 AG is a project company established for the planning, construction and subsequent operation of the 'Nord Stream - 2' pipeline. Earlier it belonged to Gazprom's affiliate - Gazprom Gerosgaz Holdings B.V., based in the Netherlands.
