Gazprom to sell up to 2 bcm of gas to Azerbaijan per year

Gazprom Export has signed a deal to sell up to 2 billion cubic metres of gas per year to Azerbaijan Methanol Company (AzMeCo).

The agreement was signed by the Director General of Gazprom Export, Elena Burmistrova, and the Chairman of the Board of AzMeCo, Nizami Piriyev.

"Natural gas supplies will provide a guaranteed load of 100% of capacity of the Garadagh methanol plant," Interfax cited the company as saying.

Gazprom plans to start supplies in the near future.
