Georgia denies reports about supply of Iranian gas via Armenia

Georgia denied the information about signing of agreement, according to which "a test supply" of Iranian gas to the country via Armenia will begin.

Earlier, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said that Iran signed a tentative agreement to export gas to Georgia via Armenia.

However, supplies of Iranian gas to Georgia via Armenia require signing of a tripartite agreement, which determines the receiving side, Georgian officials said.

Georgian authorities believe that the agreement between Iran and Armenia was made in a bilateral format, so Georgia has nothing to do with the document on "test supplies" of natural gas, which was formalized by Yerevan and Tehran.
