Georgia seeks to establish a free trade regime with India in order to access to its markets and increase bilateral business and trade, the Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said during the Government meeting.
"We have free trade deals with our neighbouring countries – Turkey, European Union (EU), European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries [Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein]. In near future we will sign free trade deal with China and Hong Kong. Now we want to survey India [to explore free trade opportunities with this country],” Agenda.ge cited Kvirikashvili as saying.
For this reason, Georgia’s Minister of Economy Giorgi Gakharia will lead a delegation to Delhi, India.
"In a few months an economic study will be done, and we will use the results to shape our free trade negotiations with India,” Kvirikashvili added,
