Georgia has shipped over 18,000 tons of apples abroad, earning more than $11 million, according to the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
The nation's farmers have significantly increased export volumes this year, supplying seven times more fruit to international markets than the previous year.
Nearly the entire export volume - 18,000 tons - was sent to Russia, while Kazakhstan and Belarus each purchased approximately 60 tons of apples.
The harvest season for Georgian farmers began in early September.
