Georgia intends to become member of European Energy Community

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili stated that the country attaches considerable importance to sustainable development goals.

According to him, Georgia is going to create an open, liberal and commercially stable energy sector, which would be resilient to market shocks. The Prime Minister also stressed that the country intends to become a full member of the European Energy Community.

He also informed that the agenda up to 2030, adopted at the summit, will receive broad support in the country. Georgia is currently working on many directions of sustainable development in such areas as a healthy lifestyle and providing access to affordable and modern energy sources, implementation of innovations and access to justice for all.
