Georgia might not receive visa-free regime with Europe due to migration crisis

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the EU, Natalie Sabanadze, told reporters about the process of the visa-free regime with the EU countries. She emphasized that, despite the fact that many of the representatives Georgian government declared the abolition of visas in 2016, the decision will be made taking into account the migration crisis that Europe is going through right now. The Ambassador added that there are factors that do not depend on anybody, but they may affect the negative response.

At the same time, Natalie Sabanadze said that there is a realistic plan, according to which Georgia will be able to get a visa-free regime.

Previously, according to the report of the European Commission from May 8th 2015, the country has fulfilled almost half of the requirements (7 of 15), Sputnik Georgia reports.
