Georgia reports 1,976 new COVID-19 cases

Georgia has reported 1,976 new cases of coronavirus, 3,076 recoveries and 78 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The positivity rate in the country has come down to 6.26% as of December 24 over the last 14 days. Overall 30,970 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

A total of 43,029 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 24,654 of the 43,029 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,375 were PCR tests. 920,617 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 876,254 of 920,617 patients have recovered, while 13,367 have died from the virus, Agenda.ge reported.

A total of 5,195 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,227 of the 5,195 patients are in critical condition. 308 of the 1,227 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 24,795 people are undergoing treatment at home. 31,647 individuals are in self-isolation.

Overall, ​​1,270,663 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,111,336 people have been fully vaccinated.
