Georgia reports 17,484 new COVID-19 cases

Georgia has reported 17,484 new Covid-19 cases, 3,699 recoveries, and 27 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 16.51%.

Overall 113,771 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.

A total of 73,250 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 44,185 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 29,065 were PCR tests. 1,110,168 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 981,531 of 1,110,168 patients have recovered, while 14,840 have died from the virus. Overall, 1,607 cases of the Omicron variant have been confirmed in the country as of January 27.

A total of 4,714 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 980 patients are in critical condition out of which 274 are on artificial ventilation. 106,977 people are undergoing treatment at home. 

Overall, 1,327,689 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,215,005 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 42.3% of the country’s adult population.
