Georgia reports 2,164 new COVID-19 cases

Georgia has reported 2,164 new cases of coronavirus, 3,767 recoveries and 68 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate in the country has come down to 6.43% as of December 23 over the last 14 days. 

Overall 32,148 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

A total of 43,437 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 25,020 of the 43,437 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,417 were PCR tests. 918,641 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 873,178 of 918,641 patients have recovered, while 13,289 have died from the virus, Agenda.ge reported.

A total of 5,327 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,336 of the 5,327 patients are in critical condition. 309 of the 1,336 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 25,812 people are undergoing treatment at home. 33 993 individuals are in self-isolation.

Overall, 1,267,354 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,104,100 people have been fully vaccinated.
