Georgia reports 2,514 new COVID-19 cases

Georgia has reported 2,514 new cases of coronavirus, 2,711 recoveries and 61 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate in the country has come down to 5.65% as of December 29 over the last 14 days. 

Overall 26,078 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

A total of 46,059 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 26,700 of the 46,059 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 19,359 were PCR tests. 930,544 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 890,733 of 930,544 patients have recovered, while 13,707 have died from the virus. A total of 4,794 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,231 of the 4,794 patients are in critical condition. 296 of the 1,231 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

20,426 people are undergoing treatment at home. 31,241 individuals are in self-isolation, Agenda.ge reported.

Overall, ​​1,284,258 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,139,831 people have been fully vaccinated.
