Georgia has reported 376 new Covid-19 cases, 234 recoveries, and four deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last seven days stands at 1.98 percent.
Overall 4,327 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia. A total of 24,153 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 22,059 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2,094 were PCR tests. 1,650,384 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.
A total of 1,629,266 of 1,650,384 patients have recovered, while 16,765 have died from the virus.
The new Omicron variant of coronavirus accounts for the majority of confirmed Covid-19 cases. A total of 445 are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. Currently, 118 people are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. 3,882 people are undergoing treatment at home.
Overall, 1,362,093 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,257,448 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 43.8 percent of the country’s adult population and 243,160 have received booster shots of the vaccine.
