Georgia reports 392 covid-19 cases

Georgia has reported 392 new Covid-19 cases, 131 recoveries, and two deaths in the past 24 hours.

The positivity rate for the last 14 days stands at 1.82%. 

Overall 3,318 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia. A total of 23,138 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 20,804 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining  2,334 were PCR tests. 1,651,969 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 1,631,846 of  1,651,969 patients have recovered, while 16,779 have died from the virus.

The new Omicron variant of coronavirus accounts for the majority of confirmed Covid-19 cases. A total of 392 are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. Currently, 89 people are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. 2,925 people are undergoing treatment at home. 

Overall, 1,363,076 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,259,212 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 43.8 percent of the country’s adult population and 245,163 have received booster shots of the vaccine.
