According to stopcov.ge, as part of intensive testing, 12,700 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 7,777 antigen tests and 4,923 PCR tests, InterPressNews reports.
The tests revealed 479 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 258,111. In the last 24 hours, 491 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 249,028. In the last 24 hours, there were 19 new cases of coronavirus deaths. A total of 3,178 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 479 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 191 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 25, Imereti - 90, Kvemo Kartli - 27, Shida Kartli - 28, Guria - 24, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 44, Kakheti - 31, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 10, Samtskhe-Javakheti-8, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 1.
